Start your customizing with these 3 simple steps:

1. Scroll down this page to the section labeled Site Selection.
2. Select the checkboxes of the sites that you want to include in your SearchLever dropdown.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click the "Save Changes" button.

After you save your changes, you'll be transferred to the SearchLever Home page, and your selected sites will be included in the main SearchLever dropdown. Your selected sites are stored in a cookie on your computer, so they'll be available to you every time that you return to SearchLever.com. You can use this page to add or remove sites from your SearchLever as often as you like.

Custom Entry (optional)
Because the Internet is so large, it's impossible for SearchLever to include every searchable website. However, if a site that you need doesn't exist on this page, you can easily add it yourself! For specific instructions on how to do this, please see the Custom Entry section near the bottom of this page.

Custom Color (optional)
If SearchLever's school-bus-yellow search box clashes with your style, change it! Choose a more fashionable color in the Custom Color section near the bottom of this page.

How to Edit or Delete Custom Entries
After saving your Custom Entry, it will appear in the categorized listings of the prior section. (Custom Entries look just like SearchLever's standard selections, except that each of your Custom Entry listings will include an "edit" link.) To edit a Custom Entry, click on its edit link. This will transfer the details of that listing to the Custom Entry form, which allows you to change and re-save it. To delete a Custom Entry, simply uncheck it as a selection.

How Custom Entries Work
When you use SearchLever, it automatically replaces the QQQ in your Custom Entry with the text of your latest query. In doing so, it replicates the actions of the search forms that appear on the individual sites. This technique works with most, but not all, searches. A small percentage of sites require search queries to be submitted by the POST method (all search variables hidden), or require additional inputs, and are not compatible with SearchLever.

Return to this page to add as many more Custom Entries as you like. Your only limitation is the maximum size of the cookie that your computer will store. Custom Entries require somewhat more storage space than the other selection options on this page. Please see SearchLever's Troubleshooting page for more details.
